YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share when you contact MoveToNYC.
Last updated: October 5, 2026.
1. Who we are
MoveToNYC connects people looking to rent or buy a property with a licensed real estate agent. This policy covers information submitted through the MoveToNYC website and related follow-up communications. Brokerage services are provided by the assigned agent through their licensed brokerage.
2. Information you provide
Our property inquiry form asks for your name, email address, phone number if provided, target move date, the service you need and your message. Your message may include your budget, preferred areas and property requirements. The Work with us form asks for your email address and, optionally, where you are based or licensed, so we can respond to your interest in working or collaborating with MoveToNYC. We also retain relevant follow-up correspondence and any contact consent submitted with an inquiry.
Please do not use the initial inquiry form to send passport copies, Social Security numbers, bank statements, payment details or other sensitive documents. Your agent will explain any later application requirements and the appropriate way to provide documents.
3. How we use your information
We use property-inquiry information to understand your search, connect you with an appropriate agent, arrange conversations or viewings and follow up on the assistance you requested. We use Work with us submissions to respond about possible work or collaboration opportunities. We may also use relevant records to address requests, resolve disputes, protect our website and meet applicable legal obligations.
4. Who receives your information
Your submission is received by MoveToNYC. Property inquiries may be shared with the assigned real estate agent and their brokerage so they can respond to your search. Work or collaboration inquiries may be shared only with the people involved in evaluating or responding to that opportunity. Webflow provides website hosting and form processing, and email and communications providers process information used to deliver submissions and our replies. If you continue into a rental or purchase, additional disclosures and application requirements may apply.
MoveToNYC connects property inquiries with a real estate agent licensed in the property's jurisdiction. The responsible brokerage and agent will be identified before brokerage services begin.
5. Contact about your inquiry
The property inquiry form includes a required checkbox allowing MoveToNYC or the real estate agent assigned to your inquiry to contact you by email, phone or text. The Work with us form explains that submitting it allows us to contact you about work or collaboration. This does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. You can ask us to stop or email sofia@movetonyc.co. Message and data rates may apply. We retain relevant inquiry and consent records.
6. Website technology and external links
Webflow hosts this website and processes form submissions. Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect forms against spam. These services and our content delivery and font providers may receive technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and service logs. On the Areas page, embedded Google Maps load automatically as you approach each area while browsing; no click is required. This connects your browser to Google, which receives connection information and may use cookies or browser storage. Closing a map removes it from the current page but does not erase information already received by Google.
Tawk.to provides our chat and related ticket functionality. When the widget loads, it may process technical and visit information; when you use it, it processes your messages and any name, email address, phone number or files you provide so we can respond. Automated responses may be used when available. ConveyThis provides website translation and may process page content, technical information and your language preference. These services load on the website and may use cookies or browser storage. You can manage cookies and storage through your browser, although blocking them may affect chat, translation or maps. You can contact sofia@movetonyc.co by email instead. External websites have their own privacy policies.
7. How long we keep information
For property, work or collaboration inquiries that do not lead to an ongoing relationship, our retention period is three years from the last contact. At the end of that period, records should be deleted or anonymized unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention. If you become a brokerage client, the responsible brokerage may retain transaction records separately under applicable recordkeeping requirements. You may request earlier deletion at sofia@movetonyc.co, subject to those requirements.
8. Your requests and choices
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information you provided, or ask us to stop contacting you. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a copy of your information in a portable format, or complain to a data protection authority.
9. International inquiries
MoveToNYC operates in New York. If you contact us from another country, your information will be received and processed in the United States and may be handled by service providers in other countries.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to take steps you request before entering a service relationship, to pursue legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and protecting our services, to meet legal obligations, or with your consent where required. You may contact us to ask about the processing and transfers relevant to your inquiry.
10. Contact and updates

Sending an inquiry does not create a brokerage representation agreement. The assigned licensed agent will explain representation, required disclosures and any applicable fees before you commit to services. Property availability, rental approval, purchase completion and investment returns are not guaranteed.
MoveToNYC welcomes inquiries from all qualified applicants in accordance with applicable fair housing laws. If you need an accessible way to use this website, help with a form, or an accommodation during the property search, contact sofia@movetonyc.co and describe the assistance you need.
