Sofia is from Spain and is Director of Strategy at a consulting firm. Her career has been in investment analysis and strategic development across global markets in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America. She has structured and executed residential and commercial real estate transactions, supported investment decisions and market analysis, and worked on M&A and corporate growth initiatives, coordinating stakeholders from analysis through execution.

In her 8 years in New York she kept meeting clients who did not know the basic steps of renting or buying. Nobody had explained the process to them, and it is different for people arriving from abroad or from another state. She created MoveToNYC to be that explanation from the first conversation: where to look, what to prepare and what happens at each step.

Today she works with a team in Spain, in Madrid, Valencia, Ibiza, Marbella and the Basque Country, that helps people move to New York to study or work. One person takes care of everything from the first step to the last, so that all is in place when the client lands. Sofia works in English and Spanish and coordinates each inquiry with the appropriate licensed New York or New Jersey real estate professional when needed.
